1. Approved SN.1/Circ.295 on Guidelines for safety zones and safety of navigation around offshore installations and structures
2. Approved SN.1/Circ.266/Rev.1 on Maintenance of Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) software
3. Approved MSC.1/Circ.1389 on Guidance on procedures for updating shipborne navigation and communication equipment
4. Approved a draft Assembly resolution on the World-wide radio navigation system, amending and revoking resolution A.953(23)
5. Approved draft amendments to SOLAS regulation V/14 – Ships’ manning (for adoption at MSC 90)

Outcome from NAV 57

1. Finalized revised performance standards for VDRs (for MSC 90 adoption)
2. Revised text of SOLAS V/22 on Navigation Bridge Visibility (for MSC 90 approval and MSC 91 adoption)
3. Prepared an MSC circular on Unified Interpretations of COLREG 1972 –Horizontal (cut-off) and Vertical Sectors (for MSC 90 approval)
4. Prepared an MSC circular on Pilot transfer arrangements (for MSC 90 approval)
